A dolly for a dolly

I am working on a custom, and decided to make a tiny dolly for the doll. She will be around 8 cm when she is finished.

The Ice Queen Part 2

My mother in law was visiting us yesterday evening. Somehow we started to talk about my dolls, and she mentioned the "Ice Queen" for an example:
-The doll you made last year for your daughter. The one with the white hair ...
My daughter who was sitting with us, and of course listening everything, interrupted her.
-Which one?
-The one you got for Christmas, the fairy with the wing
-I don't know which one you mean? (Somewhat irritated)
I intervened a bit surprised that she could not remember, as she does not have so many dolls :
-The Ice Queen.
She turned to her grandma really surprised and even more irritated:
-That one?!!! Santa made it for me, not mom!
We both adults, a bit ashamed and surprised, feeling guilty ....
-Ahhh true, you are right!!! It's good you mention it. Grandma didn't know that! 😀

This year for Christmas, I had to sew her new dresses, since the beautiful dress from last year was too delicate for a little child of her age and didn't last for a long time.

The Ice Queen Part 1

My daughter heard about the Ice Queen (a Walt Disney film, but she doesn't know about the film) She had been wishing the "Ice Queen" for Christmas. I didn't want to buy her one of those kind of barbie looking plastic figures. I had asked her how she thought the Ice Queen was looking like. She told me about her fantasy Ice Queen. I found a blouse in a second hand shop, whose owner told me that it belonged once to Isabelle Adjiani (!) I don't know if he was wright, but it was very beautiful and very old. I made a dress for the ice queen from it.
This is what came out. It fulfilled her wish! She was very happy that Santa knew exactly what she wanted My husband call it a Waldorf Barbie, but it is still a good compromise, right? 😉

I don't believe in Fairies!!!

Do you remember, I was telling you about my encounter with the little fairy Jeremiah recently?
As I went home, I told the story to Louan immediately. I was so excited and thought he would be impressed as well.
But no! He was not affected at all. Instead he crossed his arms and said:
-I don't believe in fairies, you know I am a big boy. Those stories are for babies!
-I swear I saw him! I even talked to him. His name is Jeremiah, he has golden wings, and he ...
-I told ya, I don't believe in such stories, he shrugged his shoulders and turned away.
There was no need to discuss with him any further, but I must confess I was really dissappointed.

This morning, he came! Yes Jeremiah, he came to visit us. I didn't ask him how he knew where we lived. You know he is a fairy, he has surely his own ways. I was really happy to see him again, but mostly I was keen to see Louan when he meets him.

-Hey Louan, look who is here! Jeremiah...
-My friends call me Jeremy, please call me Jeremy.
-... ehhm, yeah, here is Jeremy, I told you about him.
-Yeah yeah, the fairy guy, right?
-Why don't you come here and meet him, you Mr. Suspicious?

Then he came to the living room, leaving his Lego construction in his room.

-This is Louan, this is Jeremy...

-Nice to meet you!
-See he is just an ordinary boy like me. I don't see any fairy here. I am really impressed that you still did not give up.

-Jeremy, can you please show to Mr. Suspicious your wings as well. You know I can't really stand it any more.
-Hey Louan, you should trust the adults sometimes. You know not always, but sometimes they tell the truth. ;)
And he turned his back . You had to see the face of Louan. He was so surprised. I thought he would never be able to talk again :)

But of course it took only a couple of seconds him to talk.
-Hey are they real?! Woow, cool! I wished I had a couple too! Woow!
.... Then they left me there and walked towards Louan's room. Chatting, giggling ...
Bah! Children, fairy or not, all the same. As soon as an other child is there, the adults are forgotten.
Hmm am I getting jealous? Jealous of whom, Louan or Jeremy?

Jeremiah

On a wonderful autumn day, I was walking in the forest near to my place. The ground was covered with wet red, gold, orange leaves. It rained cats and dogs shortly before.
Then I met a fairy… Jumping in the puddles bare feet. It had long blond hair (nearly white) shining in the sunlight diffusing through the naked trees. Actually if it hand’t been so small I would not think it was a fairy. It looked like a little child, wearing a long sleeved sweater, and a pair of trousers rolled up leaving his lover legs free.
It looked so happy and contend that I wished to be invisible.
But the fairy saw me already, and said HI! with a huge smile on its face.
-Oh I am sorry I didn’t want to disturb…
-No worries. I was just enjoying the fresh puddles and the wet leaves!
-Yes, but isn’t it a bit cold running around bare feet?
-You know I love to feel the earth beneath my feet sometimes,he said while showing me his wings on his back.
-Actually, you don’t look like a fairy at all. You don’t wear one of those beautiful dresses, you know what I mean?
-I am a boy don’t you see? I don’t wear glitter dresses! I also don’t know any other fairy who does. This is the fault of Walt Disney. Someone has to sue that guy! All those images of fairies in ridiculous  dresses!! In which century are we living!??
-Sorry, I din’t want to upset you.
-No worries! You know, we fairies do not meet people very often and people believe everything they see on TV. … Oh talking about TV, I have to go home, the Sesame Street starts soon. Was nice to meet you! Byeeee!!!
Then he flew, just in a second he was gone.

He was very lovely though. He let me take a picture of him, so that I could show my friends. Here is he, my dear Jeremiah!!
